The Central Illinois
Mustang Association was founded in 1979 with the purpose of encouraging the
preservation, restoration and enjoyment of the Ford Mustang manufactured
from 1964 to 1973.
Over the years, the club
has expanded its interest to a wider variety of FoMoCo products from early
antiques and 60’s muscle cars to current Mustangs and other Ford models.
While the club itself is not affiliated with any national organization, its
members are also often members of the Mustang Club of America, the
Performance Ford Club of America, the Early V-8 Ford Club of America, the
Shelby American Automobile Club and the National Hot Rod Association among
others.
The
club holds monthly meetings, and since 1981 am annual car show “Central
Illinois Ford Day” in Bloomington. Various social events are held
throughout the year. The net proceeds from the annual car show are donated
to a local charity selected by the club members each year. The club was
organized as an Illinois not-for-profit group in 1986.
The
$15 annual dues include a monthly newsletter, webspace for pictures and
information about your cars, an invitation to all club events, a voice in
all club activities and the friendship of a great group of people with a
common interest in all Ford Mustangs. Members also get discounts at many
local parts stores. It is not necessary to own a Mustang to join; it is
only necessary to have an appreciation of the car.
Annual dues are $15 and are renewed each July 1st. New members
joining between January 1st and May 1st pay $8.
Enrollments after May 1st are $15 and cover membership through
the following year. Each membership is a family membership.
Welcome
